In December 2024, the Kenya Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (FELTP) completed Intermediate Epidemiology (Epi) training for cohorts 2A and 3A. Participants included public health officers, laboratory staff, and clinical staff from various counties across Kenya. Cohort 2A training was conducted between February and December 2024 whereas cohort 3A training was conducted between April and December 2024. A total of 56 participants successfully graduated from both cohorts.

These trainings enhance Kenya’s public health workforce capacity, equipping professionals with essential epidemiological skills to strengthen disease surveillance and response.
