Between 20th & 25th June 2021, the Kenya FELTP program held a 5-day Supervisors and Mentors workshop at Masada Hotel in Naivasha. The objective of the workshop was to re-orient the Advanced Level Field Placement supervisors and Thesis supervisors on their responsibilities/functions and the residents' responsibilities. During the workshop, the Basic/Frontline and Intermediate Epidemiology training facilitators were also re-oriented on the curriculum and their responsibilities. Strategies to resolve the existing challenges were drafted in this forum. Thirty (30) participants attended the workshop including the Kenya FELTP faculty, key personnel in the counties health management (Medical superintendents, County Directors of Health), and representatives from Moi University (training university), Directorate of Veterinary Services, and MoH strategic programs (Field Placement Sites).
