Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Baseline Capacity Review (BCR) Dissemination Meeting
The program held a meeting to disseminate the findings from the recent Kenya's Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Baseline Capacity Review (BCR) exercise conducted by the program. The WASH BCR exercise was held between 19th July 2021 and 5th August 2021 in collaboration with CDCs Division of Foodborne, Waterborne, and Environment borne Diseases (DFWED). The exercise sought to assess Kenyas current WASH capacity and pilot the CDC's WASH BCR tool used in data collection. Twenty cohort 17 residents of the Advanced FETP level were engaged in the review exercise. The dissemination meeting was held on Tuesday 28th June, 2022 at Radisson Blu Hotel, in Nairobi county. The main agenda of the meeting was to disseminate the WASH BCR findings and to develop an action plan and the way forward.
Some of the key guests who graced the event include: Dr. Francis Kuria, Director Directorate of Public Health; Dr. Terrence Lo, FETP Coordinator at CDC Kenya, representatives from CDC DFWED. Others who attended the event include representatives from Kenya Red Cross and key strategic programs from the Ministry of Health (MoH).
